Emotion’Run is not a traditional ski lesson. This experience is designed for teenagers and skiers who are confident on the slopes and want to explore a more adventurous style of skiing, combining off-piste, freeride, and all-terrain skiing. Guided by a mountain professional, participants learn to navigate diverse environments while developing essential safety habits.

Run’Émotion: a different way to ski

During the sessions, the focus is on reading the terrain, understanding the snowpack, and managing off-piste risks. Participants also learn how to use safety equipment, avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe—and discover the key principles to know before venturing beyond the marked trails.

Schedules

Emotion’Run is available as either a 3-hour half-day session or a week-long course, depending on the packages offered by ESi Métabief.

Sessions combine technical instruction, practical exercises, and descents across varied terrain. The program can be tailored by the instructor based on the participants’ skill level, snow conditions, and the weather. These factors are crucial for ensuring a safe and consistent freeride experience.

Ski pass and equipement

Freeriding requires suitable equipment. Bring freeride-specific skis, boots, and poles, as well as a mandatory helmet, gloves, and goggles or sunglasses. A back protector is highly recommended for added safety when skiing off-piste.

Equipment required for Run’Emotion Freeride ski outings

For off-piste sessions, safety gear includes an avalanche transceiver (DVA), a shovel, and a probe. Your instructor will guide you in their use and teach you the proper safety habits.

Also, remember to bring a backpack with water and a light snack. A ski pass and ski-specific insurance are mandatory. Equipment and the itinerary may be adjusted based on mountain conditions.
