Group ski lessons for children

Group ski lessons at ESi Métabief allow children and teenagers to improve in a friendly atmosphere while receiving instruction tailored to their ability level. For levels ranging from Cristal International to Cristal de Diamant, group sizes are intentionally limited to between 3 and 10 participants to ensure close supervision and an optimal learning environment.

Consisting of five 2-hour sessions at set times, the lessons take place on terrain suited to the participants’ skills. Instructors adapt exercises and objectives to the group’s level, whether beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

Important information regarding children’s group ski lessons:

PLEASE NOTE: During the February school holiday weeks, priority is given to those booking a “5 x 2-hour” package (Monday to Friday). Those wishing to book individual lessons during the week will automatically be assigned the 3:15 PM – 5:15 PM time slot. Reservations for these lessons are accepted via email only.

Weekend and Wednesday group lessons (outside of school holidays)—held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM—are available up to the Cristal d’Argent level.

New: For teens who have achieved the Gold Crystal or Diamond Crystal levels, we are offering a new option: the Run’Émotion course—covering all-terrain skiing, freeride, and freestyle—supervised by a high-mountain guide.

To ensure your child gets the most out of their ski lessons in Métabief, having the right gear is essential. Warm, waterproof clothing will keep them comfortable throughout the session, even as weather conditions change.

Gear to bring for children’s ski lessons in Métabief

• Warm, waterproof gloves or mittens (avoid wool) to keep hands dry.
• Sunscreen and lip balm—essential for protecting skin from the cold and UV rays.
• Ski goggles or sunglasses suited to the lighting conditions.
• A neck gaiter or balaclava—especially useful in cold or windy weather.
• A helmet—mandatory for children to ensure their safety on the slopes.

A well-equipped child is more at ease when learning, moving, and fully enjoying every session.
