Mini snowboard

Children as young as 5 can discover snowboarding with ESi Métabief through the “Mini-Snowboard” course. Learning begins with a familiarization phase using a beginner-friendly mini-snowboard, allowing the child to gradually get a feel for balance and the sensation of gliding.

About the children’s group snowboard course in Métabief

Once the basics have been mastered, the instructor guides the child toward riding on a standard snowboard. Exercises and courses are tailored to the child’s age, skill level, and pace of progress. The goal is to gradually build confidence, ease, and independence in a safe environment.

Instructors are also available to discuss the sessions and the child’s progress with parents. Depending on how they develop, the child may be moved to a group that better matches their skill level.

Mini-Snowboard sessions take place in the ESi Park, in an area designed for a first taste of snowboarding. Participants meet directly at the children’s area so that the session begins in a reassuring environment.

Session times are based on the slots offered by the school. To check availability and arrange a session for your child, please contact ESi Métabief directly by email.

For the Mini-Snowboard program, no lift pass is required, unless the instructor advises otherwise based on the child’s progress. Ski poles are not needed for this activity.

Gear to bring for children’s group snowboard lessons in Métabief

Please provide warm, waterproof clothing, gloves or mittens (not wool), goggles or sunglasses, as well as sunscreen and lip balm. Helmets are mandatory. Also, remember to have your child use the restroom before the lesson and pack a small snack that fits easily in their pocket.
