Want to try snowboarding or hone your skills at Métabief? ESi Métabief offers group and private lessons tailored to each rider’s experience and goals. From your very first turns to snowpark tricks, our instructors teach you the right techniques in a friendly atmosphere suited to your level.

Group snowboard lessons (ages 12+)

Class sizes are kept small so instructors can closely monitor participants and adapt exercises to the group’s abilities. Whether you are a beginner or already comfortable on a board, you will work on fundamentals suited to your level—such as balance, turning, speed control, braking, and building confidence. More experienced riders can also refine their technique and discover new sensations.

Private snowboard lessons

Private snowboard lessons offer fully personalized instruction. The instructor tailors the session to the rider’s level, pace, and goals—whether it’s learning the basics, improving technique, or preparing for more advanced riding.

For advanced snowboarders, sessions offer a chance to push boundaries and explore the world of freestyle. From practicing jumps and exploring the snowpark to using features and mastering board control, instructors guide you through learning new tricks using a progression suited to your level.

From snowboarding to freestyle

At the end of the week, interested riders can also prepare for the official “La Board” test, a great way to showcase the progress made during the sessions.

During the February school holidays, snowboarders aged 12 and up can join group lessons offered from Monday to Friday, 3:15 PM to 5:15 PM. This time slot allows participants to take advantage of generally more favorable conditions for practicing and improving.

To participate in snowboard lessons at Métabief, remember to arrange a lift pass suited to your skill level and the lifts used during the session.

Equipment to bring for your snowboard lesson at Métabief

You should also bring a snowboard suited to your height and skill level. A properly fitted boots, a helmet, gloves or mittens and warm, waterproof clothing. Snowboard goggles or sunglasses are also recommended to ensure comfort in all weather conditions.
